It has been a long ride, but arguably the greatest quarterback ever to play the game has finally decided to hang up his cleets.

No one player in the NFL has gotten more press attention, more added pressure or hype than Brett Favre. I kind of felt bad for the guy with all this hoopla that surrounded him, it was a non-stop circus filled with bad blood and haters around the clock.

With all this media attention around him and people saying he should've hung them up before joining the New York Jets I think Brett Favre did one hell of a job leading the Jets. They weren't a great team like say the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they were good team with the threat of a good running game with Thomas Jones coming out of the backfield and Favre's ability to make plays at quarterback.

Although the Jets could make it to the playoffs I still believe that Favre's year in a new shade of green was a success.

Personally, I wish he could come back for another year, but I am glad he has finally become comfortable with his decision to call it a career. Lets just hope it stays that way this time.
