The Mavs may not be getting the big time players like the Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs or the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they are doing what they can do to make up for it by adding a few good role players.

The next player to sign for the Dallas Mavericks is Drew Gooden who is an underrated forward who has bounced around for the last couple of seasons.

Adding Gooden is an attempt to replace big man Brendan Bass who signed with the Eastern Conference champion Orlando Magic. Bass may be a bit younger, but Gooden brings experience and versatility. The Mavs have definitely improved.
