Filling out your March Madness Bracket

So you are putting together your March Madness bracket and you need some help. You have come to the right place. There is no overriding rule that tells you what to do with these things. More times than not, it’s a crap shoot. It is your job to look at matchups, though, and figure out where you can find advantages in filling out the March Madness bracket.

Who matches up well with whom?

These are things you should consider. Look at the individual games as you might when you are handicapping them against the spread. Figure out that a team with strong guards might be able to beat a team who relies on the full court press. Find out who is a strong three point shooting team and pick them to lose when they go up against a team who is known for stopping the long shots. These things will make your picks much more accurate.

What about upsets?

Upsets happen, all of the time. Don’t go crazy filling in upsets on your March Madness bracket, though. More times than not, people fall in love with upsets and they forget that this just means they are picking the better, more talented team to lose. If you really want to be successful, you will pick the best teams to win more times than not.
